In January 2024, I released two self-portraits: ‘I am…’ and ‘The Fire Within Me.’ At the time, I thought they were standalone expressions of my inner world. Little did I know, they were just the beginning of something far greater, something that would stir in my heart for months.

For a long time, I struggled with finding meaning in my life. I was lost, wandering through spaces that led me to darker places. There was always a way I had heard of, something familiar to me, but I didn’t truly know it. In that void, I tasted glimpses of a different life, a better life, but it seemed distant, unreachable, like something beyond my grasp.

Those early paintings were expressions of that tension, of feeling like I was caught between what I knew and what I had yet to discover. But since then, my journey has changed. What once felt like an endless quest has brought me to a new place of understanding. The meaning I was searching for wasn’t out there-it was within me all along. What seemed far-fetched and distant was actually right in front of me, woven into my identity and my faith.

This realization sparked the creation of my new series, IDENTITY. This body of work is deeply personal. It’s an exploration of the faith, the trials, and the transformations that have shaped who I am today. Every piece is a reflection of the journey I’ve walked, and how, in finding meaning within myself, I’ve found peace.

IDENTITY is not just a series of paintings. It’s a story of discovery, a reflection of the inner life we all carry but don’t always see. It’s a celebration of faith and the power of recognizing who we are beneath the surface.
